Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Shiraz opens with a mild plum bouquet with hints of black raspberry, coffee and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a black currant and blackberry jam blend with notes of black pepper and a touch of vanilla and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors linger slightly. The panel suggested pairing this good value wine with a Coq au vin or mushroom risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Grand Barossa Shiraz epitomises the premium international reputation for Shiraz which has made the Barossa Valley famous. Lifted aromas of blackberry, plum and black pepper are accompanied by spicy, dark berry fruits on the palate. Although drinking well now this wine may be cellared for up to seven years from vintage.
