Wine Review: This is one of the better “Columbia Valley” Cabernet Sauvignons to date from Chateau Ste. Michelle. 2015 was marked as a warm year up and down the west coast and you can tell. The forward fruit flavors of cassis, cherries, and ripe cranberries burst through on the palate more so than on the nose. Oak and baking spices: nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon are what make up the majority of the nose. The finish is a bit on the soft side considering how much weight the palate carries, but that isn't stopping anyone from having a second glass. A great look at what to expect from the higher Ste Michelle tiers for 2015. I would pair this Cab with braised short ribs. - Nicolay
Winemaker Notes: Cabernet Sauvignon is a standout variety from Washington, with silky tannins, rich complexity and concentrated fruit. That’s why our Columbia Valley Cabernet is the perfect choice to carry the nostalgic banner of our 50th anniversary. Raise a glass and help us celebrate the next 50 years!
