Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State opens with black currant, mild oak and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is an oak and mineral influenced black currant with notes of black olive. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are rather sticky. This Cab would benefit from decanting. I would pair it with a New York strip steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Canoe Ridge Estate Cab is a beautifully balanced wine that offers a classic expression of Horse Heaven Hills fruit. The wine delivers red fruit flavors, earthy spice notes wrapped in silky, elegant tannins. I love this wine with just about any food!
