Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah from Washington State opens with a fragrant blueberry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy going. The flavor profile is an enjoyable blueberry and black cherry blend with hints of smoked meat and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This is a perfect every day good value red and a good glass pour option. It is also very food friendly. It would pair well with a tangy pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Columbia Valley Syrah is a soft, jammy Syrah made in an approachable and fruit forward style. Syrah is blended with a touch of Viognier, Mourvedre and Grenache for layers of flavors. This is an enjoyable, easy-to-drink red. Serve with beef, grilled salmon, and strongly flavored cheeses
