Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a lemon and tangerine like bouquet with a hint of oak. The flavor profile is full bodied, round and displays a touch of acidity. The flavor profile is a butterscotch and Bartlett pear blend with nice integrated vanilla oak. I also detected some white pepper and spice. The finish is dry and its refreshing acidity lingers for quite some time. This is a style of Chard that will appeal to oak lovers. It will pair very nicely with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The warmth of the Wahluke Slope produces Chardonnay with an appealing tropical fruit character and rich, creamy texture. The Indian Wells Chardonnay delivers ripe sweet fruit flavors with caramel and brown sugar notes. I like this wine with scallops, scampi or pasta with rich sauces.
