Wine Review: This Chardonnay from CSM is for oak lovers. It is light yellow colored and opens with a fragrant vanilla oak bouquet with notes of lemon meringue pie with a hint of apple pie. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and flavorful. The flavors are an oak infused butterscotch with notes of apple. The finish is dry and lingers nicely. This wine would pair well with chicken, broccoli and penne in a white cream sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The warmth of the Wahluke Slope produces Chardonnay with an appealing tropical fruit character and rich texture. The Indian Wells Chardonnay delivers ripe tropical pineapple flavors and showcases the luscious opulence of Washington fruit. I like this wine with scallops, scampi or pasta with slightly richer sauces.
