Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple colored Cab emphasizes its oak more than its fruit. It opens with a smoky oak and black currant bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a dusty oak and black currant blend. There were hints of blackberry and black licorice detected as well. The finish is very dry and its very big tannins are dusty and linger for a long time. This wine would pair well with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Cabernet from this iconic 35-year-old vineyard always delivers power, structure and rich concentrated black fruit. This is a dense wine with great aging potential. Fruit is the star of the show for our Cold Creek Cabernet! - Bob Bertheau, Winemaker
