Wine Review: This opaque and almost pitch black colored wine opens with a fragrant black currant and old oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, rich, and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild blackberry with notes of black currant. There were also hints of black pepper and blueberry detected as well towards the back palate. The finish is quite dry and its dusty tannins are substantial and stick with you for a while. This wine benefits from some air and needs food with a little bit of fat. Pair it with a marbled ribeye. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine shows amazing intensity to go with ripe black cherry fruit. The Canoe Ridge Estate Cab is a beautifully balanced wine that is a classic expression of Washington fruit. - Bob Bertheau, Winemaker
