Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay from Chateau St. Jean opens with a mild citrus like bouquet with hints of lemon, pineapple, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty Bosc pear with notes of light toasted oak, apple and cashew. The finish is dry and just a touch of heat shows up to the end. Decanting dissipates it. This classic California Chard would pair well with chicken, penne, and broccoli or lemon butter seared scallops. Enjoy - KWGTP
