Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine from St. Estephe opens with a black currant and stone dust bouquet with a hint of cedar and sage. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced and round. The flavor profile is crushed stone and cedar blend with notes of black cherry and black tea. We also detected hints of black currant and clove. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins are nicely extended. The Tasting Panel would pair this wine with Jiko’s wild boar. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Intense ruby red colour with purple reflections. Pure nose with an incredible intensity, dominated by notes of red fruit at perfect ripeness. Rich and harmonious attack, exceptional tannic structure, persistent and fleshy finish. Freshness, balance and great power characterise the vintage.
