Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and dark red blend from Chateau Palmer is drinking very well right now. It wine opens with an attractive and fragrant cassis and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well-balanced, smooth and approachable. The flavor profile is a very tasty cherry-cola with notes nicely integrated minerality and mild old oak. I also detected hints of black olive in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle tannins drift away nicely. This wine is ready to go now and it would pair very well with a filet mignon at your favorite restaurant. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Merlot, rich and exuberant, remind us of the best vintages of the end of the first decade of the 2000s. The Cabernet Sauvignon are linear and precise and in line with a 2008. This unusual marriage harmoniously highlights the smoothness, elegance and refinement of Chateau Palmer wines.
