Wine Review: This deep, purple-colored wine from Lynch-Bages opens with a fragrant cedar, black currant, and pencil lead bouquet with hints of menthol and cardamon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with nicely integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, super smooth, and polished. The flavor profile is a tasty graphite and black currant blend with notes of black tea and oak. We also detected black licorice and blackberry. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would pair this wine a dry aged ribeye steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Lynch-Bages 2018 offers a seductive mouthfeel with powerful yet silky tannins. On the palate, there is a strong prelude of black chocolate, rosemary and spices on a fresh core leading to a long finish.
