Wine Review: This ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based wine from Pauillac opens with barnyard and cherry bouquet with hints of black raspberry and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is silky, seamless, and delicate. The flavor profile is dried cherry and stone dust blend with notes of cedar and menthol. We also detected hints of oolong tea and red plum. The finish is dry, and its well-managed refined tannins are very nicely sustained. This wine is showing well now and still has a lot of life left for years to come. I would pair this Cab with a filet mignon at your favorite steakhouse. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep garnet red in color, Château Lynch-Bages 2016 has the characteristics of a remarkably mature vintage. The nose is very expressive with notes of dark fruit (blackcurrant, morello cherry, etc.) mixed with fresh touches of mint. The attack is smooth, revealing an exceptional substance, supported by a wonderful freshness. The tannins are already remarkably well-blended.
