Wine Review: This deep ruby colored wine from Leoville Barton opens with a red plum and pencil lead bouquet with hints of dried strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and polished. The flavor profile is a juicy black plum and stony minerality with notes of black raspberry and black tea. We also detected some hints of oak. The finish is dry and its refined tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this wine with the grilled wild boar tenderloin from Jiko at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The nose is intense, expressive on minty, spicy and black fruit aromas. On the palate, the flavors of blueberry and black currant are enhanced, and the hint of white pepper will surprise you. The tannins are delicate and velvety. The wine is straight, well-balanced and its power is exponential.
