Wine Review: This medium purple colored wine from Margaux opens with a black currant and cigar box bouquet with hints of rose petals. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth and polished. The flavor profile is crushed stone and black currant blend with notes of anise and black raspberry. We also detected hints of dark coffee and oak in the mix. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would decant this wine before pairing it with a grilled hanger steak or with duck confit. Enjoy – KWGTP
