Wine Review: This deep salmon colored wine from Tavel opens with a maraschino cherry and chalk bouquet with a hint of lime. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality and lime blend with notes of mild maraschino cherry and watermelon. I also detected hints of green tea. The finish is dry and its flavors and refined mild tannins drift away nicely. This Rosé would pair well with shrimp scampi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A bright cherry pink, this Tavel rosé shows aromas of yellow peach, red currant and blood orange. On the palate, this medium to full bodied wine has notes of cherry and Sicilian orange with sweet touches of almond and pastry cream. It has a long and elegant finish. Pair with seared tuna, grilled fish, tomato salad.
