Wine Review: This salmon-colored wine from Tavel opens with a red cherry, ginger ale, and watermelon bouquet with hints of grenadine and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and mild red cherry blend with notes of strawberry and lime. I also detected some hints of tangerine and anise in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and refreshing. Serve this Tavel with chilled shrimp cocktail. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A bright cherry pink, this Tavel Rosé shows aromas of ripe peaches, strawberries, and orange peel. On the palate, this complex and balanced wine has notes of anise and grapefruit with a mineral streak. It has good length and finishes with zesty lime notes.
