Wine Review: This ruby colored Chateauneuf du Pape opens with a milk chocolate and cherry-vanilla bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, round and fruit forward. The flavor profile is steely minerality and spiced black plum blend with notes of oak and black tea. I also detected hints of fig. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. I would pair this CDP with NY strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Red garnet with purple tints. This silky, round wine offers notes of cherry, plum, licorice, and menthol. The tannins are supple, and the finish is long. A wine with cellaring potential of a decade or more. Pair with steak, lamb, or grilled duck.
