Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chateauneuf du Pape white offering opens with a lemon and Anjou pear bouquet with a hint of apricot and honey. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, slightly acidic, clean, fresh, and round. The flavor profile is flinty mineral influenced and green apple with notes of chamomile, white pepper, and lemon zest and hints of citrus fruits. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. I would pair the CDP Blanc with a lemon and rosemary marinated grilled halibut. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Pale lemon yellow in color with aromas of stone fruit (peach, apricot) and white flowers on the nose. On the palate there is a nice complexity with notes of lime, pineapple, and mango with a good balance between acidity and fleshiness. This is an elegant and well-integrated wine. The finish is expressive and lingering with pronounced mineral notes.
