Wine Review: This white gold Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc opens with a mild green apple bouquet with hints of lime. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced and elegant. The flavor profile is a tasty green apple and gentle minerality blend with hints of white pepper, faint grapefruit and a touch of lime. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. I would pair this impressive white wine with Coquilles St. Jacques. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A beautiful pale yellow color with green highlights. On the nose, expressive and complex with pear, pastry and candied citrus tones. Lovely freshness on the palate, with hints of white peach and dried candied fruits. The finish is long with floral notes, a touch of pineapple and green banana, all wrapped in a beautiful sweetness. This elegant and complex white wine pairs beautifully with a wide variety of seafood dishes and can also stand up to lighter meat dishes such as roasted chicken or sauteed veal.
