Wine Review: This pitch-black midnight colored Syrah opens with a rubber band and blackberry bouquet with a hint of raisin. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and silky. The flavor profile is a tasty gentle black licorice and blackberry blend with notes of black olive, blueberry and black plum. I also detected a hint of raisin and balsamic. This finish is dry and its flavors and gentle tannins drift away nicely. This Syrah would pair perfectly with Daube de Boeuf Provencal aka French beef stew with olives. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautifully crafted, 1955 is medium to full bodied and impossibly elegant. Silky yet textured and complex it displays cherry and dark fruit notes which mesh with a hint of earth. The lingering finish is graceful, leaving a lasting impression.
