Wine Review: This opaque midnight purple colored wine from Pauillac opens with a black licorice and black currant bouquet with hints of musty cedar, and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and rich with nice tension. The flavor profile is black currant and blueberry blend with notes of stony minerality. We also detected some hints of black raspberry and cashews. The finish is dry, and its bold dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would pair this wine with well-marbled ribeye or with a coriander crusted ahi tuna. Enjoy – KWGTP
