Wine Review: This dark red colored wine from Medoc opens with a fragrant Spanish cedar, cherry, and strawberry licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and very approachable. The flavor profile is a lot like the nose, featuring cedar, slightly tart cherry and red plum with hints of fine minerality and oregano. It could easily be mistaken for a Sangiovese in a blind taste test. The finish is dry and its mild tannins linger for a bit. This wine would be a very nice Bordeaux option for a wine list in an Italian restaurant. - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby garnet with red berry flavors combined with notes of spice and bell pepper in the background. Pairs with all meats, poultry, wild mushrooms and strong cheeses.
