Wine Review: This deep purple colored wine opens with a pencil lead and cassis bouquet with hints of leather, pipe tobacco, and blackberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, super smooth, and rich. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and extracted black currant blend with notes of oak and black tea. We also detected a hint of chocolate and acai berry in the mix. The finish is dry and its velvety tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this impeccable wine with Colorado lamb chops. Enjoy – KWGTP
