Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark red colored wine from Saint Emilion is Excellent! It opens with a black cherry bouquet with hints of pomegranate and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty black currant and gentle oak blend with very nicely integrated minerality. The finish is dry and its moderate well-managed tannins show very nice length. I would pair this gem with a New York strip steak in the near term, but long term this is destined to be paired with a filet. Enjoy - Ken
