Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet from Washington State is a very good everyday wine. It opens with a fragrant black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe red raspberry and black plum blend with notes of black cherry. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors are nicely prolonged. This wine would pair well with a steak calzone. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2012 Chateau Smith is a wine long and rich in the mouth. Aromas of black cherry, wet earth, anise and a touch of toasted herbs with flavors and a finish to match. 2012 - A New Classic! Pair with: Pappardelle with Porcini and Pistachios.
