Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Merlot opens with a blueberry and mild black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black currant with notes of old oak and a hint of blueberry. The finish is dry and its minerality and rustic flavors linger well after the wine is gone. This wine would pair well with comfort foods. Shepherds pie came to mind first. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Classic Merlot aromas of dark cherries, cedar, pipe tobacco. Anise, stone and cherry blossoms. Yeah, believe it! Naughty and nice, a true Velvet Devil. Pair with beef or duck with a nice red wine or mushroom sauce.
