Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay from Carneros opens with a bread dough and mild apple bouquet with a hint of Brach's butterscotch. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and savory. Its flavor profile is a flavorful apple with nicely integrated old oak. I also detected some butterscotch and light lemon. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for a long time after the wine is gone. This Chard would pair well with shrimp scampi served over angel hair pasta. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Carneros Chardonnay shines with tropical fruit, citrus blossom and pineapple aromas. A hint of vanilla precedes flavors of peach, brown sugar and bright citrus. Vanilla returns with scents of oak leading to a long, supple finish. A classy wine to sip on its own, yet, as always, can be paired with an array of fish or fresh fowl.
