Wine Review: This crowd pleasing Cabernet based blend from Charles Krug is very impressive. It is opaque and almost pitch-black colored and opens with a mild blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, smooth, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a very tasty black cherry and ripe blueberry blend with notes of menthol and gentle oak. The finish is dry and its substantial building tannins are dusty and very sticky. This terrific wine needs fat in the short term, so it calls out for a cowboy ribeye and some decanting. Share with close friends and enjoy! Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Generations is a tribute to family tradition and commitment to quality. This wine displays aromas of bright berries, nutmeg and mocha. Flavors of candied cherry, blackberry and underlying mineral notes segue into a rich, round and long finish.
