Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a toasted oak and black currant bouquet with a hint of cranberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a fruit forward and slightly tart black plum with some notes of strawberry and light oak. The finish is dry and its mild fine tannins are very friendly. I would pair this Pinot with grilled barbecue chicken. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Peter Mondavi Family Carneros Pinot Noir is a perfect marriage of vineyard selections. Cool climate growing conditions allows our Pinot Noir to mature slowly, achieving maximum concentration. An elegant example of Carneros Pinot Noir. Lively, inviting and well balanced. Scents of strawberry, ripe plum and black cherry deliver consistent fruit flavors. Toasty oak and velvety tannins lead to a long finish...and a lasting impression.
