Wine Review: This almost clear colored Chenin Blanc based blend from Chappellet opens with a Bosc pear and honeysuckle bouquet with hints of nutmeg, jasmine, and ginger. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, slightly viscous, vibrant, fresh, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is green apple, white grapefruit, and nectarine pit blend with notes of lemon tea, stony minerality and white pepper. We also detected hints of lime zest and honeydew melon. The finish is dusty, dry, and refreshing. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chenin with grilled cod foil packets with seasonal vegetables or raw bar. Enjoy – KWGTP
