Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet based blend wine from Chappellet is Excellent. It opens with black currant and black cherry bouquet with hints of pencil shavings. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, extremely well-balanced, refined and super smooth. This flavor profile is a mild graphite and black cherry blend with notes of oolong tea with a hint of black raspberry. The finish is dry and its refined tannins linger and last for a very very long time. The Panel would pair this impressive Red Blend with a filet mignon. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This luxurious wine reveals concentrated aromas of blackberry, cassis, cedar, sage and graphite, as well as uplifting hints of anise, clove and vanilla. The rich dark fruit and spice notes are echoed on the opulent palate, where the flavors glide across velvety tannins and mingle with layers of roasted coffee and chocolate truffles.
