Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a boysenberry and gentle blueberry bouquet with a hint of plum and root beer. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a slightly tart plum and mild black currant blend with hints of old oak, and black raspberry mix in as well. The finish is dry and its mild fine tannins are friendly. This is a food wine. I would pair this Pinot with grilled mahi mahi with brushed garlic, dark rum, lime juice and honey marinade. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Characteristic aromas/flavors: Blueberry, red earth, and nutmeg spice with hints of violet, toffee and oolong tea. Structure: Silky and generous entry, slate-like minerality, and muscular tannin on the Finish - a testament to high altitude winegrowing.
