Wine Review: This deep gold colored Chardonnay from Chamisal opens with a pineapple and oak bouquet with hints of pear. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, nicely balanced and round. The flavor profile is a juicy pineapple and mild lemon blend with notes of almond and apple. I also detected a hint of mango in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely extended. This crowd-pleasing Chard would pair well with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas: Toasted oak and crème brûlée.
Flavors: Fruit driven with lemon cream, Fuji apple, ripe pineapple, and baked pear, leading to a rich and creamy mid-palate.
Finish: Finishing clean with lingering acidity and broad texture.
