Wine Review: This straw-colored Chardonnay from Chalone opens with Mayer lemon and green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel balanced, crisp and bright for a Chard. The flavor profile is a Bosc pear and white peach blend with notes of notes of oak and lemon curd. We also detected a hint of chalky minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. We would pair this Chard with a baked haddock with a Ritz crackers crust. Enjoy - KWGTP
