Wine Review: This straightforward and savory Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast is a brilliant medium ruby color. The bouquet displays fragrant red raspberry, black cherry yogurt and loam aromas. It is juicy and silky smooth on the palate. It is also medium bodied, with bright plus acidity and good balance. The flavor profile is a red raspberry, toasty oak, pomegranate, and wet stone blend with a hint of clove. There is a touch of fine tannins in the dry and moderate finish. This is a very good mid-week bottle to open with your grilled cheeseburgers. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: Chalk Hill Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is fruit-forward, expressive and elegant. Dark ruby in color, it displays aromas of black cherry and plum backed by subtle notes of mocha and vanilla. The palate is bright and full of cherry cola fruit with vanilla and oak undertones. It finishes with velvety soft tannins and lingering notes of cherry.
