Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a very fragrant yellow grapefruit and peach pit bouquet with hints of gooseberry. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and bright. The flavor profile is tart yellow grapefruit, white peach and flinty minerality blend with notes of lime. I also detected hints of gooseberry, vanilla, and asparagus. The finish is dry, and its flavors linger nicely. I would pair this very flavorful Sauvignon Blanc with baked cod with a Ritz cracker topping. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2021 vintage was warmer than average with little rainfall leading to a relatively early bud-break. Warm temperatures continued into summer setting the stage for full ripening, fresh acidity, and beautifully balanced fruit. A small amount of Sauvignon Gris adds layers of flavor and interest to the blend. In the winery, we preserve the distinctive aromatics of the grapes by minimizing exposure to air and fermenting with carefully selected cultured yeast in a combination of stainless steel and French oak. As a result, our 2021 Sauvignon Blanc opens with aromas of lemongrass, grapefruit, and fresh flowers. The palate is vibrant and rich with beautiful notes of tropical fruits, grapefruit, and a clean minerality on the finish. Pair with Dungeness crab cakes with Meyer lemon aioli.
