Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and light yellow colored Chardonnay from Chalk Hill opens with an apple and lemon verbena bouquet with a hint of pear and floral bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and nicely balanced between its light acidity and fresh fruit flavors. Those flavors are mild lemon and green apple blend with very nicely integrated oak. There are also notes of delicate minerality and hints of caramel and pineapple. The finish is dry and its flavors and pleasant acidity drift away nicely. This Chard is very food friendly. It would pair very nicely with lobster bisque. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Delicate aromas of lemon, peach and cream with a hint of caramel from the oak. Full and balanced palate with lemon oil, yellow peach, tangerine and toasted almonds. Rich and elegant texture carries to a long, pleasurable finish.
