Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple wine was my favorite from a flight of reds covered recently. It opens with a fragrant ripe blackberry bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a juicy blueberry with notes of licorice. There is also a touch of black raspberry and oak. The finish is quite dry and its very big sticky tannins linger for quite some time. This wine is benefits from some air, so I would recommend decanting it before serving it with a marbled ribeye cut. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Ruby red with violet hues. Intense, complex bouquet with notes of rich ripe cherries, blackberries, black currants and cloves. Elegant, well-structured and perfectly balanced with supple tannins for good longevity.
