Wine Review: A lightly effervescent and pale straw-colored dessert wine from Italy opens with delicate aromas of honey, fresh apricot, Golden Delicious apples and white florals. On the palate, it is semi-sweet but not cloying. It is lightly frothy and medium bodied with integrated medium-plus acidity. It is nicely balanced, soft, fresh, and clean. I detected flavors of Golden Delicious apple, honeycomb and poached pear along with notes of citrus and minerality. The fruit lingers for quite a while in the finish. Serve chilled with a pastry creme filled fresh fruit tart. - Mark
