Wine Review: This deep purple colored Petite Sirah from Caymus-Suisan opens with a ripe blackberry and black plum bouquet with hints of blueberry, leather, and fig. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, smooth, and round. The flavor profile is gentle blackberry and black plum blend with notes of black licorice and oak. We also detected hints of blueberry, stony minerality, and cola. On the finish, its flavors, acidity, and its moderate dusty tannins are polished and nicely extended. We would pair this Petite Sirah with a NY strip steak. Enjoy - KWGTP.
Winemaker Notes: Nose: Freshly tilled earth, potpourri, newly cut cigar, and ripe fruit.
Palate: Balanced and soft. Lush plum and raspberries with burnt caramel and teriyaki on the finish.
A Distinct Style: Round and rustic with no trace of bitterness.
Pair with beef tenderloin with a demi-glace sauce.
