Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Petite Sirah from Caymus really impressed the Tasting Panel. It opens with a fragrant lilac, blueberry and acai berry bouquet with a hint of plum. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty milk chocolate and stewed red plum blend with notes of blueberry. We also detected some hints of toasted oak mixed in. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build-up and linger and last for quite a while. The Panel suggested pairing this very good Petite Sirah with New York strip steak, a stuffed veal breast or lamb lollipops. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A regal maroon rimmed with purple color. The 2018 vintage features rich scents of French plums and German chocolate cake. A hint of pomace, vanilla and floral potpourri add to the nose. On the palate, it features dark berry flavors that mingle with the tannins. After initial softness, the finish also displays blackberry preserves and a fig bar.
