Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet from Caymus is very impressive! It opens with a mild red currant bouquet with a hint of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and very smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious blueberry with notes of cherry vanilla oak. The finish is dry and its moderate fine tannins sail away nicely. This is a superb Cabernet and it would pair perfectly with filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Scarlet color and brackish edges. Nose is sweet fruit and smoked meats. This wine already has some bouquet− truffle mushrooms, vanilla style oak. The palate is creamy richness with nuances of leather and a cocoa-style fine grain tannin. The flavors and structure of this vintage are consistent with the Caymus style − spice, toast, cassis − fully rich, yet supple. - Chuck Wagner, Winemaker
