Wine Review: This interesting red colored Zinfandel opens with a mortadella bouquet with hints of red cherry and raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and a bit sweet. The flavor profile is a cedar plank influenced faint raspberry with hints of red cherry Life Saver and mild chocolate. The finish is dry and its flavors nicely coat your mouth and linger for quite a while. The Panel suggested pairing this Zin with crispy duck or strap Bolognese. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The relatively cool climate of the Russian River Valley allowed for slow ripening of the fruit, resulting in full flavor development and increased complexity. The balanced acidity makes this a great food wine. This wine finishes peppery, with flavors of red and black berries. Pair this food-friendly wine with pork loin with sun dried tomato pesto, or barbecue dishes.
