Wine Review: This white gold colored Gewurztraminer opens with an attractive lychee and Mandarin orange bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a classic lychee with hints of mild minerality and a touch of apricot. The finish is dry and its fades away nicely. This Gewurztraminer is a very nice food wine that would pair well with sushi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Floral, spicy aromas of lychee nuts, rose petals, clove-like spice and apricot among others. On the palate, the wine shows an oily texture typical of dry Alsatian Gewurztraminers. The concentrated fruit flavors of delicate, ripe pear plus mild spice are balanced by supple acidity. The wonderful, spicy finish makes it a great match for Asian, spicy dishes or with aged and cured, smoked meats.
