Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored red blend is made in Super Tuscan style. It opens with a mild cranberry and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black currant with integrated black pepper and oak. I also detected a hint of black cherry and cranberry as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are very sticky and linger for quite some time. This wine would pair well slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: It is an elegant, complex wine, with good depth, volume and balanced with very velvety tannins providing length and a smooth, lingering texture. It is aromatic and intense, with a character all its own showing very rich aromatics combining savory Tuscan herbs, fresh red cherry, pomegranate, with mocha, wild berry and currants on the nose. Feminine, with sweet, focused red plum notes and hints of cranberry from the Sangiovese mingle with the expansive, spicy black pepper and black cherry of the Bordeaux varietals.
