Wine Review: This very dark opaque purple colored red blend is a Very Good follow up to the popular 2006 vintage of this wine. I had a chance to taste it at this year’s Newport Wine Festival. It opens with a ripe blackberry and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a ripe black raspberry with notes of black pepper and blackberry. The finish is dry and its mild tannins linger nicely. I felt this wine would nicely complement a meat lasagna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep, intense, and brilliant ruby-red. Bouquet: Black currant, red cherry, and plum notes from Cabernet Sauvignon combine with Syrah endowed ripe black fruit, blackberry and plum. Taste: The perfect balance between fruit and wood, yet retains vibrant acidity and supple tannins. Ideal with grilled and roasted meats as well as rich pasta dishes.
