Wine Review: This ruby colored Mencia opens with a black raspberry and black plum like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a smoky black currant with a hint of black raspberry, plum and tangerine. The finish is dry and a touch of acidity and mild tannins show up in the end. This wine would pair well with slow cooked barbecue beef brisket. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Unoaked. Deep purple color, aromas of ripe red fruit and minerals. Inherent complexity. Not in the slightest a light wine, perhaps just the opposite—the finish is long and captivating.
