Wine Review: This Portuguese red blend is an interesting wine from grapes I don't usually get to taste. It’s a good weeknight wine to try if you like Pinot Noir. In the glass it is a brilliant medium ruby, with a bouquet of red raspberry, strawberry, wet slate, and an earthy note. On the palate, this wine is it is medium bodied, and is juicy and fresh with medium plus acidity, with nice fruit and texture. I detected flavors of red raspberry, tart pomegranate, chalky minerality and some dried herbs. The finish has moderate fine tannins and is moderate in length. This would be great with some grilled sausages. - Mark
