Wine Review: If you are looking for a nice dessert wine to finish off an evening, look no further. This sweetie from Carol Shelton is made from Trousseau Gris formerly known as Grey Riesling. It opens with a ripe pear and apricot like bouquet with hints of orange peel mixed in as well. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and delicately sweet. The flavor profile is a very tasty tangerine with a hint of minerality and a touch of grapefruit on the back palate. The finish is nicely refreshing. This offering would pair quite well with an assortment of sharp cheeses. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Pale peach-blush color, lovely nose of honeyed pears and white peaches, delicately floral with a touch of mineral, mint and yuzu grapefruit. Sweet in mouth but not cloying or heavy—very crisply balanced with acidity and long-lasting peachy fruit finish.
